Running Shoes
In this project, I designed a unique shoe, Max Er. I choose running shoes as the research object, using a multi-layer structure to the layered design. The design's purpose is to enhance the running experience.
I choose the dense concave to improve the grip in the sole design, and the thicker sole provides better elasticity.
On the surface, I use breathable mesh to prevent sweat and moisture.
I also use a composite structure, multi-layer soft rubber wrapped shoes, so that the shoe will fit the runner's foot and prevent the sprain.

The final design of the sole
BLUE FOAM MODEL
SOLE PART
In the process of making the model, it took me four hours to make the first sole and three hours for the other two. The material I chose was blue foam, and I used a wire saw to cut out the sole's shape. Secondly, I use an electric drill to carve out the texture and details, and finally use sandpaper to polish the sole to reduce the model's defects.
In the production, I try different forms of sole design. I hope to find out the most realistic texture.
I used hollowed out and serrated forms in the first model, but it's more like basketball shoes than running shoes.
In the second model, I reduced the texture and used strip depressions to divide the sole part into different parts, with traditional texture in the front and stripes in the back.
In the third and final model, I chose the integrated design. The use of different lengths of depression and hollowing increases the sole's grip and flexibility, allowing a large degree of distortion of the sole.
MODEL MAKING
The main body of shoes is made of cloth, soft plastic and gypsum cloth. Use the glue gun and needle thread to build the shoe body.
