However, there is room for improvement in the design of coffee pots on the market because coffee pots' function and shape are very monotonous. I hope that by redesigning the function, the coffee pot can be combined with the coffee grinder to bring a more interesting coffee-making experience for users. In addition, the intelligent coffee pot also aims to keep the coffee warm and blend to make coffee with a better taste for users.

Form exploring

Choose a polyhedron shape similar to the Moka pot, which is more classic. Electronic heating, square base with heating system, through the button switch.

-Upward curved handle, better fit the hand shape.
-Larger upper holder, better hold the grinder during grinding.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Sketch mdoel

I used different materials to make sketch models. Choose cardboard, soft plastic, foam board, because these materials are easy to make and cut. Make different parts of the coffee pot. Through the study of handle, grinder and overall shape, a 1:5 scale model is made.

Prototypes

In the process of making the model, I used the blue foam to make the real size model. Using a wire saw and an art knife, cut out the different parts and handles of the coffee pot, and then grind them with sandpaper.
